Merging the past with the present and hints of the future, 'No Hard Shoulder' brings together an exciting mix of artists and arts to the atmospheric, richly historic Regency Town House.
The exhibition features paintings, prints, sculpture & ceramics by 9 leading Sussex artists.
Daytime workshops and evening events include music, lecture/performances by 'Festival First' director Professor Jane Collins and poet performer Honour Mission, a presentation by BAFTA winning filmmaker Phil Grabsky of Seventh Art Productions/Exhibition on Screen, and exceptional wine tasting by Artelium Vineyard.
No Hard Shoulder opens the Regency door to 11 days of rich contemporary creativity.

Wales Contemporary
2025
I am delighted that I have had a painting selected for the Wales Contemporary 2025. This exhibition of international artists is in it's 5th year, developed by the Waterfront Gallery with support from the Welsh Government. It will be showing 150 artworks, first in London, followed by a touring show at Waterfront Gallery, Milford Haven in March 2025. The exhibition of all selected artworks is free of charge for visitors, many of the artworks are for sale.
If you are able, do take a look at this exhibition, it will have some great paintings, sculptures and ceramics making up the show.
I will be demonstrating acrylic paint techniques inside the Chelsea exhibition on Saturday 8th March, 2-4pm

I am thrilled that this painting has been shortlisted for the Jackson’s Art Prize 2024. It is currently being shown on the Jackson’s stand at the Affordable Art Fair in Hampstead, Thursday 8th May - Sunday 11th May.
After this this it will be in a mixed exhibition at the Bankside Gallery in London from 30 July - 4th August 2024.

I am excitied to announce my next exhibition will be held in the Art@21 Open House, Montpelier Crescent, Brighton. I will be in this beautiful setting for the Brighton Artist Open Houses this coming May, on the Seven Dials trail, with a brand new set of paintings. It's a nice little bar with good homebrew and my paintings will be on the walls until the end of April. I have had a bit of a studio clear out, much to the family's relief, and some slightly older paintings are here. These are discounted in price, so if you fancy a bargain, do take a look.

I am very pleased that I have a painting selected for the Open 23 Biennial at Worthing Museum. The exhibition is open from 2nd December 2023 to 14th April 2024.
I am also exhibiting with the Society of Sussex Painters Sculptors and Printmakers (SSP) at Worthing Museum from 6th March to 2nd June 2024 to celebrate the SSP’s centenary anniversary.
The museum is open every day except Mondays & Tuesdays. Free entry.

Brighton Artists Open Houses

I am delighted to be once again this year taking part in this Artist Open House. It is showing it’s usual high standard of latest works from painters, sculptures and ceramics. Do drop in if you can, see some art, chat to the artists. It’s a lovely way to spend time at the weekend.
I currently have a range of paintings on display at the Lost & Found Taproom Brewery, 298 Ditchling Road, Fiveways, Brighton. These will be on the walls here for the month of June. Do drop in, try out the fabulous beer and view some art!
I am currently showing this painting, selected as a part of a mixed exhibition, at the Gerald Moore Gallery, SE9 4RW. This piece is acrylic on canvas and titled “I am invincible in these sunglasses”. It was painted from sitting just below Ditchling Beacon on a very hot day last summer.
The exhibition runs from 3 March until 8 April 2023.
